A nest (group) of artisans located in a XIX century house in the heart of the Old Mazatlan, next to the Angela Peralta Theater.
Nidart was opened by Rak, Loa and their children in 1992 as a family workshop where they made and offered their art crafts: mainly leather masks, faces and pins, clay figurines ("the little people of clay and leather") and their children's art work, besides the homemade bread that they shared with the visitors.
During the past twelve years, Nidart has exhibited the artwork from different locals, national and foreign artists and artisans.
Today Nidart as a nest of artisans offers a large variety of handcrafts and art.

Inside the imposing structure an incredible feeling of celestial peace fills the air, the golden colors in the walls, the high ceilings, and the paints of angels in the ceiling above the main altar, makes this an unique place to visit.
Just 2 blocks away from the Cathedral is located the market, where the locals go for all sort of items. Here you will find all sort of fresh fruits, herbs, souvenirs, and many many other things. |
