A very well known place among locals and foreigners, more than a house is a sanctuary for Baby Jesus. The place is ornamented by flowers and toys, offered to the Baby over the years, as a thank for listening a prayer and most of the times for a miracle.

Theres a vast list of storys and miracles to talk about. And as you will be able to see, the place seems small to fit all the gifts offered to the baby. But, there's no words to express the feeling and the peace you will find in the place. No mather if you're a faithful person or not, you will be able to feel that inner peace in your heart.

Take your chance, say your prayers, pray for your loved ones, or just take your time to talk with god. You will certainly be heard.

To the east section of Mazatlan we can find this old cemetery that keeps the history of the city, the old luxury cripts describe correctly the good times the city has in economy as it was atractive for all businessman of the country and of the rest of the world along the 19th century due to the nearby gold mines of the Sierra Madre mountains which were the scenery of the arrival of thousands of gold searchers. Mazatlan was also occupied by the french troops in 1864 as well as germanies who invested in the end of the mentioned century. In this cementery your tour guide will tell you the historical times while reading the names that are written in the cripts. Mr. Nepomuceno Machado (A very enthusiastic philipine man who exchange commerce with Asia), Angela Peralta (The world famous opera singer who was known as the Mexican Nighteengale), German Evers (one of the herald of the well known Pacifico Beer which is now one of the best beer in the world), these are some of the people resting in this particular grave yard.

This theater was built in the early 1870's and named the Rubio Theater. In 1883 however, the famous opera singer Angela Peralta "The Nightingale of Mexico" arrived in Mazatlan to perform. Upon her arrival, the crowd that gathered to meet her unhitched the horses from her carriage and carried her to her hotel. She was so taken back by their enthusiasm that she performed to her fans from the balcony of her hotel. Unfortunately, the boat she arrived on carried the yellow fever, and she died before she could ever perform in the theater. The theater was soon after renamed after her, and a plaque commemorates her tragic death.

Unfortunately, the theater also had tragedy awaiting it. In later years, the theater was turned into a movie theater, then a vaudeville stage, a boxing ring and eventually a parking garage! Finally, in 1975, a hurricane hit Mazatlán and destroyed the inside of the theater. Standing in ruin for years, the theater began a restoration in 1987, and re-opened in 1992.

This is the oldest town bakery in town, Mrs. Betty Pompa, the owner of the place has been working for long time making an excellent local style bread, as an additional attraction while visiting her place, she will show you a big collection of antiques and Mazatlan old pictures that make this place very interesting to visit, besides her house is one of the oldest of the city historical center with neo classic and academy style building.
